Meet Our Team
Margaret Human is a certified coach with the National Federation of State High School Associations.
Margaret Human has lived in Southern California for most of her life. She received her degree in Mathematics and Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University of Fullerton. She is also a highly-motivated athlete herself, and has completed over 50 marathons. Her lifetime personal record for the marathon is 3:11:37. In addition to running, Margaret is a top female cyclist and an accomplished triathlete. She has completed 3 Full Ironman distance events and won the state jersey for the California/Nevada State Championships in Time Trialing, involving 3 categories (Individual, Tandem, and Mixed Team Time Trial).
Margaret has enjoyed being an assistant coach for Esperanza High School’s Cross Country and Long Distance Track teams for 3 consecutive years and has received great satisfaction from being able to encourage students to do their best and be proud of their efforts. Margaret believes that making a positive difference in the life of a young person is one of the most gratifying rewards that any human being could possibly receive.
In addition to her experience with Esperanza High School Cross Country and Long-Distance Track teams, she has several years of experience with Yorba Linda High School’s Sprint team and most recently, their Long-Distance running team.
Margaret is dedicated to building a youth running program here in North Orange County that will suit the needs of all types of runners, from the non-competitive all the way through to the most competitive. She is committed to bringing young athletes together, encouraging them to put forth their best effort, fostering team commitment and a desire to win, and helping them experience true success.
