Meet Our Team
Lucy joined CPR as a seventh grader and found an immediate passion for the sport, as well as pushing herself to become a better athlete in both soccer and running. She also took part in Yorba Linda Middle School’s Track and Field team her seventh and eighth grade year, gaining more experience with the sport. After the transition from CPRunners to El Dorado High School, Lucy decided to focus solely on cross country and track. She ended up lettering in cross country, as well as earning Top Newcomer as becoming one of the leading runners in league during track season her freshman year. Despite a few injuries, Lucy continued to run and compete her sophomore year, and will continue into her 2017/2018 season as a junior.
Lucy decided to come back to CPRunners to give back to the program that helped her discover her zeal for the sport of running, and wanted to show other kids that the running club could do the same for them. Her goals for the runners are to reveal to them that they can always push themselves farther than they think they can no matter what their skill-level, and to of course have fun and enjoy themselves with their teammates.
